Poetry Promise, Inc., with Clark County Poet Laureate Angela M. Brommel, announce a special Poetry Promise Reading Series event featuring Ada Limόn, the 24th Poet Laureate of the United States. An Evening with U.S. Poet Laureate Ada Limόn Ada Limόn will read her award-winning poetry on Sunday, June 2, 2024, 7:00 - 8:30 PM, at the West Charleston Library Lecture Hall, 6301 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146. Ada Limón is the author of six books of poetry, including The Carrying, which won the National Book Critics Circle Award. Her book Bright Dead Things was nominated for the National Book Award, the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award. Her most recent book of poetry, The Hurting Kind, was shortlisted for the Griffin Poetry Prize.
