From @DTLV: For the first time in 20 years, traveling urban art exhibition @artbeatsandlyrics makes its way to Las Vegas. The touring art show, which merges visual art with hip-hop, lands at @ninetwentyevents for one night only on Friday, Feb. 9 from 7pm to midnight. The second stop on this season’s tour following Miami’s Art Basel, the Vegas show will feature works from Arts, Beats + Lyrics co-founder @dubelyoo and street/stencil artist @mathewcurran, among others, along with a live performance by west coast legend @djquik and sets from @djwallysparks_ and Vegas’ own @djcrykit. What began as a local art show in Atlanta two decades ago has grown into a nationally touring road show, bringing unique art experiences featuring some of the biggest talents from both the art and music spheres, including the iconic Afrofuturist visions of Hebru Brantley and performances by rap titans such as Kendrick Lamar, Raekwon, Big KRIT and Bun B. “We have just about been to all of the major cities in the US, however this will be our first time in Las Vegas,” co-founder and producer Jabar Graham told DTLV. “Hopefully we can do it again in Las Vegas.” Give Art, Beats + Lyrics a warm Vegas welcome. The event is free with RSVP, but admission will be on a first come first served basis, so pull up early.
