We're not here to educate folks on the history of Juneteenth, but we are here to help you celebrate the legacy of Black Americans. Here are Juneteenth Events in Las Vegas, Nevada. Black residents helped build this city, yet were often barred from living where they chose, staying in most hotels, or enjoying the same opportunities as their white counterparts. Because of this, the city earned a reputation as the "Mississippi of the West". Segregation confined much of the Black community to the Historic Westside, creating a legacy that continues to shape Las Vegas. We celebrate & support Black-owned businesses, artists, and community events year round and especially during Juneteenth to acknowledge and help minimize the disparities in investment, representation, and access to opportunities that unfortunately still happen today.
